He started and runs ACHIEVE Behavioral Health in Monsey and Monroe\, NY\, centers of Hasidic Jewish communities. ACHIEVE is a NY State licensed behavioral health center and is a federally designated Certified Community Behavioral Health Center bringing a very wide range of high level clinical services to the community. Their mission is to provide the highest level of care and create sustainable and innovative models for the future. In an effort to enhance data-driven decision making in the community\, he founded the Institute for Applied Research and Community Collaboration (ARCC) to study the health\, behavioral health and social issues in the Orthodox Jewish community. He has presented at many international conferences\, published multiple papers and book chapters about these topics\, and has supervised hundreds of students and early career clinicians.

DESCRIPTION:The Sisterhood is having its first-ever theater event this Thursday evening\, August 8\, to see Folksbiene’s new play\, “Hannah Senesh\,” playing at the Museum of Jewish Heritage through August 18. “Hannah Senesh” is a one-woman show in English that tells the story of Hannah Senesh\, based on her diaries and poems. Hannah Senesh was a young Jewish woman who escaped from Axis-allied Hungary to Israel (then British Mandate Palestine) in 1939\, where she joined the Haganah. She parachuted back into Europe to help rescue Hungarian Jews about to be deported to Auschwitz. She was arrested at the Hungarian border\, imprisoned\, tortured\, and executed. Rochie succumbed to her own battle with breast cancer in 2015\, at the age of 42. \nJoin us in celebrating her life and memory\, and in recognizing the incredible work that her organization\, Sharsheret\, continues to do today.

As CEO\, Mariaschin is the public face of B’nai B’rith\, coordinating B’nai B’rith’s programs and policies on issues of concern to the Jewish community. Mariaschin publishes many op-eds each year\, is called upon as an expert source by news organizations\, chairs global panels and committees and hosts a podcast. Mariaschin meets with world leaders\, seeking to advance human rights\, protect the rights of Jewish communities worldwide and promote better relations with the State of Israel.
