If you would like to support our 150th celebration, please visit our journal website: www.aderethel150.org. As part of our 150th Anniversary festivities, we have created many exciting programs. We have invited our Chazanim from the past 30 years to return to Adereth El on different weekends to lead Shabbat services. The culmination of this memorable program was Cantor Joseph Malovany of the Fifth Avenue Synagogue accompanied by Daniel Tunkel's British Quartet leading us in a Musical Friday Night service featuring Prussian melodies from the 1850's. Many of the tunes that were most likely a part of the Synagogue service at the time of the founding of our Congregation!!! The melodies continued on Shabbat morning as our British musical troupe led us in the Shabbat day services.
The Sy & Laurie Sternberg Lecture Series continues to bring in thought provoking speakers to the community. Join us for many remarkable weekends in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Synagogue. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Sy & Laurie Sternberg for their generosity in sponsoring this thoughtful and stimulating lecture series.
